Permanent right of residence entitles you to stay and work in Norway indefinitely.

If your application for protection has been rejected, you usually have to leave Norway and the EU /Schengen area. You will find more information about this in the letter you received.

If you have received a Dublin decision on transfer to another country, you must now return to the country which is going to process your application for protection.

UDI will prioritise applications for a residence permit for victims of abuse. But there are still some steps your case must go through before we can process it.

You will normally not receive support for assisted return when you are a citizen of an EU/EEA country, a country where you do not need a visa to visit Norway or a country where UDI believes that you have basic human rights.

If you have permanent residence you must order a new card in plenty of time before the old card expires. You can also order a new card if your card has been lost, damaged, stolen or contains errors.

If you have received a letter of expulsion and you are subject to an entry ban, you can appeal the decision. After you have left Norway, you can apply to have the entry ban lifted.

When you have submitted an application for family immigration, you may be summoned for an interview. You normally have to wait in your home country until UDI has finished processing your application.

If you have a permanent residence permit, or a temporary residence permit that forms the basis for a permanent residence permit, you cannot be granted protection (asylum) in Norway.

If you are staying in Norway without a legal residence permit, you must return to your home country. You can apply for support to return home with the National Police Immigration Service and start a new life in Gaza.

When we have processed your case, you will be notified whether you have been granted Norwegian citizenship, or if your application has been rejected.
